Farm Friday for the Houston Astros! There's a ton of outfielders in this system, at every level. In Single-A Fayettville (NC), the Woodpeckers, 2022 draftees Drew Gilbert (#3), Jacob Melton (#4), and Ryan Clifford (#13) patrolled the outfield to backup RHP Alex Santos (#14). In Hi-A, the Asheville Tourists, Colin Barber (#16) flashed his new, simplified swing and showed he can play anywhere in the outfield. Double AA Corpus Christi, The Hooks, is full of elevated fastballs from RHPs Spencer Arrighetti (#7), Jamie Melendez (#10), and Jayden Murray (#18). Triple-A Sugar Land (the Space Cowboys!) has - wait for it - more outfielders, with OF/SS Pedro Leon (#5) and Justin Dirden (#9) polishing their games before heading to MLB, where they'd join top prospects RHP Hunter Brown (#1), and catchers Yanier Diaz (#2) & Korey Lee (#6).
