Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide head to Baton Rouge this weekend in an SEC West showdown for control of that side of the division. What does LSU need to do to pull off the upset at home and get that much closer to punching their ticket to Atlanta?
Big plays from their playmakers while limiting Alabama's playmakers. Bryce Young, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Will Anderson have the ability to take over games, on both sides of the ball, and to Brian Kelly's point, "make you look silly". LSU's defense will have their hands full getting pressure on Bryce Young and containing him in the pocket while also stopping Gibbs and the run game. But does LSU's defense play an even larger role as well? Caroline Fenton, Locked On LSU host, breaks down why the LSU defense plays such a massive role in this game.
Plus, Jayden Daniels will need to lead a balanced offense to put up enough points to keep up with the Crimson Tide. The LSU Tigers offense has been at it's best when it's balanced both on the ground and in the air, so that will need to continue against Alabama if LSU wants to get a win and get that much closer to competing for an SEC Championship.
