Description

In Brian Kelly's first year, the LSU Tigers punched their ticket to Atlanta winning the SEC West and the opportunity to compete for an SEC Championship. However, the purple and gold ran into the top team in the country, the Georgia Bulldogs, who reminded LSU that they still have some work to be done under Kelly and company as Kirby Smart's Dawgs defeated LSU 50-30 on Saturday.
Although LSU dropped the SEC title game, there are still positive takeaways for LSU from this game. No other team that has ever competed for an SEC Championship has thrown for as many yards as LSU did against Georgia. No other team on Georgia's schedule has put up as many points against them as LSU did on Saturday. LSU battled through a really tough game and flexed the same fight we've seen this team have all season long. However, LSU just wasn't good enough to defeat the Bulldogs. An early special teams blunder allowed Georgia to go up 7-0 in the first quarter combined with getting beat at the line of scrimmage consistently all contributed to LSU's loss.
How should fans feel about the team moving forward? Who is going to be under center for LSU against Purdue in the Citrus Bowl? Who will be under center next season?!
