Being an artist is a lifestyle. It’s a routine and part of your daily life much like exercising.
There isn’t a moment when you’re going to make your big masterpiece from nowhere. It’s all the little things that you do on the journey towards your goal that makes your art.
You don’t need to overthink what you want to make, surprise yourself with what you make in your sketchbook.
Being an artist doesn’t mean you only need to be doing the one thing you set out to do. Sarah wanted to illustrate children’s books but she also found out that she loves teaching as well.
You can’t be creative from 9 to 5. We don’t all have 8 hours of creativity a day in us every day and we also don’t all get creative at the same times of day.
Be patient and have faith. Your business and portfolio won’t be finished in a day, you need to put the time in and remember that it takes time and you don’t need to panic over it.
