Where it stands right now, LSU football has only two scholarship cornerbacks on the roster. One is Sevyn Banks, an Ohio State transfer who has been on and off the field due to injury for a majority of his career. Second, is Laterrance Welch who redshirted this past year and has very little college football experience. Overall, the cornerback position needs depth and experience and it needs it badly for the 2023 season.
