Description

Friends of the Rosary:
At some point, we all experience spiritual dryness. Even the saints who were completely dedicated to God experienced dryness. The Divinity allows the absence of faith to test our commitment. Faith is a struggle, and as with every precious conquest, it requires perseverance — which is the fruit of the fifth Sorrowful Mystery.
The Lord is calling us to a more mature set of beliefs, the ones requiring a deeper foundation. That’s why we undergo a period of testing and spiritual growth. But if we persevere, our efforts are rewarded and our relationship with Jesus and Mary gets renewed and enriched.
So when you have no sense of the presence of God, never think that you are wasting your time or worse that God is away because you’ve offended Him. There is much consolidation when prayer is easy, joyful, and satisfying. When prayer is dry and unfulfilling, just understand that God allows desolation to purify us from our earthly attachments.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
