Description

Matt Caples is an Air National Guard JTAC qualified TACP. Prior to serving in the ANG, Caples was a motor transport mechanic in the Marine Corps and did a tour at Parris Island as a Drill Instructor. Caples details the steps he took to leave the Marines and join the Air Force's TACP program. We go into detail about the TACP training pipeline and compare and contrast the Air Force program with the Marine Corps program. We also quickly discuss his job as a firefighter in Savannah, GA and talk about his work with the veteran organization, Irreverent Warriors. Overall, a great episode that should clear up a lot of confusion for Marines considering moving into the Air Force's TACP program. https://www.irreverentwarriors.com/As always, make sure to subscribe and share the show!YouTube: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysYouTubeSpotify: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysGooglePlay: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysGoogleApplePodcast: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysAppleiHeartRadio: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysiheartr...Contact:Website: www.jcramergraphics.com Instagram: www.instagram.com/jcramergraphics Instagram: www.instagram.com/formeractionguys Twitter: https://twitter.com/4meractionguys Email: formeractionguyspodcast@gmail.com Reference:117 - Backpackable radio for tactical use152 - Walkie-talkie style tactical radio7-Ton - Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (Dump truck-sized military vehicle for hauling troops, supplies, etc.)9-Line - CAS mission brief formatABC - ANGLICO Basic CourseANG - Air National GuardANGLICO - Air Naval Gunfire Liaison CompanyBLT - Battalion Landing TeamBRC - Basic Reconnaissance CourseCAR - Combat Action RibbonCAS - Close Air SupportCCT - Combat Control TeamCLB - Combat Logistics BattalionCO - Commanding OfficerCOC - Command Operations CenterCOP - Combat OutpostCorpsman - Navy medic attached to MarinesEOD - Explosive Ordnance DisposalFAC - Forward Air ControllerFCT - Firepower Control TeamFDC - Fire Direction ControlFET - Female Engagement Team.FSCC - Fire Support Coordination Center.
