Description
SSgt Michael Golembesky was a Marine JTAC who was assigned to the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) early on in the unit's infancy and deployed with Marine Special Operations Team (MSOT) 8222 to Bala Murghab, Afghanistan. Golembesky detailed his team's deployment in the 2014 best-selling book, Level Zero Heroes. LZH was the first book to detail a MARSOC element and was followed up with the book Dagger 22.Prior to becoming a JTAC, Golembesky served his first enlistment as a cannoneer and completed two deployments. In total, he completed five deployments in his eight years in the United States Marine Corps before deciding to return to civilian life. Really great conversation and I look forward to a follow-up interview in the future.
