No. 1 Houston and No. 2 Kansas both lost at home this weekend, albeit to starkly different caliber opponents. The Jayhawks fell to TCU, currently ranked No. 18 at KenPom, while the Cougars lost to Temple (No. 113). Andy Patton and Isaac Schade aren’t worried about either team, but Houston’s loss will be looked at more harshly despite the fact that both Jamal Shead and Tramon Mark both had close looks that, had they fallen, we wouldn’t be discussing a Houston loss.
Arizona got a MUCH needed win over UCLA at home on Saturday to both help their resume and make the Pac 12 race more interesting.
The guys share their current top 5’s following last week’s action. Both have the same top 3 of Alabama, Purdue, Houston, while Isaac rounds things out with Kansas State and UCLA and Andy goes with Virginia and Kansas.
