Description
Is there a new sheriff in town?
Despite traditionally dominating the Cincinnati Bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers have mostly been on the losing side of this historic rivalry in the last few seasons. Sitting at 3-6, the Steelers have never had a losing season under head coach Mike Tomlin. Zac Taylor's Bengals, meanwhile, are still defending AFC champions with a 5-4 record.
The Bengals are out of the bye week and back to work looking to avenge their Week 1 overtime loss to Pittsburgh at Paycor Stadium. Both teams are set to battle this Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET at Acrisure Stadium as Cincinnati seeks its first division win of 2022.
There's a lot of good rising tides for the Bengals as defensive tackle D.J. Reader is back and practicing for the first time since suffering a knee injury against the Jets in Week 3. Cornerback Tre Flowers has also been practicing as well and Mike Hilton should see action against his former team.
Will the Bengals' defense get a big boost out of Reader's potential return this Sunday? The Strictly Stripes podcast crew talks about what a defense with Reader would look like, and how that can help the Bengals improve on their Week 1 loss.
The crew also talks about the rare competition at the punter position, along with another temperature check on Cincinnati's chances of winning the AFC North and making the postseason once again.
This podcast features Mohammad Ahmad, Andrew Gillis and Michael Niziolek.
