Description
The streak is over.
After playing every game this season with the same offensive line starters, the Cincinnati Bengals' front has taken a big hit. Right tackle La'el Collins is out for the foreseeable future. That means the Bengals will put their trust in swing tackle and three-year pro Hakeem Adeniji.
Adeniji, who's played multiple positions on the line, will have some big shoes to fill as the Bengals face another top ten defense against Buffalo next Monday night at Paycor Stadium. Cincinnati's interior front, which has held up fairly well since the bye week, just might have its toughest test yet.
The stakes couldn't be higher for the Bengals. A win, coupled with a Ravens loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday night, means they are back-to-back AFC North champions for the first time in team history. That would also keep their hopes up for a chance to take the AFC's top seed for the first time since 1988.
What would the Bengals offensive line look like? How much has Adeniji improved from last year's playoff run? And will Monday's game live up to the aforementioned hype?
The Strictly Stripes Podcast crew answers those questions and more as they assess the hole left behind by Collins' injury. They also look back at how the special teams performed last weekend and how much that experience will be critical down the stretch.
This podcast features Mohammad Ahmad, Andrew Gillis and Michael Niziolek.
