The Pittsburgh Penguins played perhaps two of their best games of the season last week only to have a terrible loss to the Los Angeles Kings overshadow them. Hunter starts the show by getting into the decision to start Casey DeSmith and why it had pros and cons. He looks at how DeSmith didn't do enough to keep the Penguins in the game, especially when giving up the second and third goals. In turn, that allowed Dustin Tokarski to come in ice cold, which showed in an ugly fashion since he hadn't played in a while. After those goals, even when the Penguins played well, it was hard for them to get back into it as the Kings took over. After that, Hunter dives into Sidney Crosby's game misconduct and why he got it. He looks at how the crosscheck happened and how Rickard Rakell didn't even come over to help him, which was a bit weird. He then explains how Crosby had every right to be upset and slams Garrett Rank for continuing to be a garbage official. Hunter also gives the latest practice updates and how Tristan Jarry looks destined to start on Tuesday. He then explains why Jan Rutta won't be activated just yet before circling back to Jarry and why a chronic hip issue could be causing these injuries.
