The Cincinnati Bengals have the fourth-highest odds to win the Super Bowl next season.
After falling just short of returning to football's biggest stage, the Bengals continue an offseason that will focus on figuring out how to get bag to the big game. The team that kept them from claiming back-to-back AFC championships, the Kansas City Chiefs, meanwhile, is now football's newest world champion.
The Chiefs won their second Super Bowl in four seasons after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, 38-35, on Sunday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. A 24-point second-half comeback from the Chiefs, led by Super Bowl MVP and quarterback Patrick Mahomes, propelled the Chiefs to the victory over an Eagles team that hadn't trailed all season.
Much like the Bengals, the Eagles made several critical errors down the stretch that allowed the league MVP to drive his team to yet another world championship. Although the Eagles entered the game as 1.5-point favorites, the Chiefs gladly played with the underdog chip on their shoulders.
As the Eagles and Bengals both try to figure out how to get back to the big game next year, that plan will likely have to run through the same Chiefs team that will open the year as defending world champions. Both teams will rematch in the regular season at Arrowhead Stadium and a potential playoff matchup between the two shouldn't be surprising either.
What can the Bengals and Eagles learn from each other from their respective postseason losses to Kansas City? Although these are two different teams that played two totally different scenarios, they faced the same team with the same lethal quarterback and units behind him.
