Description
My guest today is Wendy Hechtman. Wendy has a powerful personal story to share, as well as her ongoing fight against the tyranny of the COVID regime to keep non-violent prisoners free.
Wendy was an opiate addict (clean four years now!) which led to a charge of conspiracy to manufacture carfentanil. She served three years in prison, most of which was at Danbury, and will have four years total done at the end of this month. She has 8 years remaining.
Wendy has been out of prison since Dec 2020 thanks to the Cares Act, she's been working as a property manager for a company that she founded specializes in renting to people with a criminal background
Wendy is also one of the cofounders of dontsendusback.org which is a network by and for people on home confinement to keep them up to date on what’s happening and the effort to #KeepThemHome. As of now, Wendy and many people in her situation are at risk of being sent back to prison when the pandemic is over.
