Listeners of Locked On Canes have asked host Alex Donno if Miami’s running game will take a back seat, now that air raid OC Shannon Dawson has been hired. The answer is NO. Expect Cristobal to want Dawson to modernize and maximize Miami’s passing attack while incorporating a power running game. Dawson would not have gotten the job in the first place if he was not on board with this objective.

Donno expects another huge step forward from sophomore linebacker Wesley Bissainthe, big contributions from transfer LB Francisco Mauigoa, and Donno expects true freshman LB Malik Bryant to find a niche in the rotation this season. 
Donno is asked if the Hurricanes basketball team can earn a 1-seed in the NCAA tournament. Donno recalls the incredible season Miami had in 2013 and they were given a 2-seed. He expects a 2-seed to be their ceiling this year even if they win out their final 3 games and win the ACC tournament.
