Brandon Williamson got the nod for this Saturday's Spring Training game between the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians. This makes him a favorite to land a starting rotation spot out of camp. The adversity Williamson went through last season will only serve to help him in his quest to be on the Reds Opening Day roster. Williamson could be a good pitcher for the Reds for multiple years and needs to get ample opportunity to prove that. Also, Spencer Steer has Jeff excited and thinking he could compete for an award. Steve will attempt to talk Jeff down from his optimistic ledge.
