Another Thursday has landed on your calendar, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with another hour of nonsense and (maybe) some Oilers talk to wrap up your week. On today’s show, the guys looked at the Mattias Ekholm trade, Nick Bjugstad coming in for a 3rd round pick, and a whole lot more.Kicking off the second episode of Real Life of the week, the podcast got started with Wanye's rant about Reid Schaefer being traded and how it is heartbreaking for all of us to lose Ginger Beef without even having him play a single game with his hometown club. From there, the guys looked at last night's win over the Toronto Maple Leafs and how it was one of the most fun wins that we've seen all season. The guys also dove into the Nick Bjugstad trade that the Oilers completed while the podcast was happening. As you'll hear, the reaction to the trade was very split as the Oilers paid not only a 3rd round pick but Mike Kesselring, a prospect that many Oilers fans had high hopes for down the line. Either way, Bjugstad is now an Edmonton Oiler and we'll have to see how things go and how he's used. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a look at the trade deadline and how it could be a quiet day given that teams all over the league have been swinging deals all week long.  Hosted on Acast.
