It was almost 50 years ago that this solo rocker broke through the glass ceiling and opened the door for other female rockers. Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club), Joan Jett, and Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders) all cite Suzi as an essential influence.
