Description

In today's episode Jeff Rauseo interviews Oscar Becher, Archivist and Vault Manager for Vinegar Syndrome, a restoration company with the mission to preserve and restore forgotten works of genre film and release them on DVD and Blu-ray. Oscar oversees an rH and temperature-controlled film archive with over 20,000 reels that have been fully cataloged and conserved. Jeff talks to Oscar about film preservation techniques, the effects of vinegar syndrome on film, where he finds materials, and how long we have before some of these great films are lost to time!
