Description

Joining Nadia on this episode of the The DEI Discussions is Rukayyat Kolawole, Founder of PaceUP Invest.Rukayyat expresses how challenging it was to move from Nigeria (a country that encourages women to be successful) to the UK, where a distinct male-dominated culture exists in the finance space. Rukayyat has since moved to Germany and that is where she founded PaceUP Invest- and until recently, she was the only black female founder in Germany.Growing up in a community where women empowered women, she carried those learns and culture forwards, creating PaceUp to help women and underrepresented communities with finance, and encouraging a greater understanding of financial well-being. It also provided Rukayyat with a platform to empower the next generation, and educate them on the role they play in driving change.Thank you Rukayyat for joining us on the Women of FinTech Podcast!
