Denver Harris was one of the top recruits in the 2022 recruiting class. The five star cornerback out of Houston was the 4th best prospect at his position, sixth best in the state of Texas, and a top 25 player overall that year. Any college football program would have been lucky to land a player like Harris, but ultimately it was Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies that became home for his first season. But after two suspensions for violating team rules, one offense worst than the other, Harris entered the transfer portal and landed at LSU. So why did Brian Kelly take a risk on a player, although talented, with a history of behavioral issues?
