LSU defensive line coach Jamar Cain announced that he will leave LSU to purse an opportunity in the NFL as a pass rush specialist for the Denver Broncos. Cain joined LSU's staff this past season when Brian Kelly brought him in to coach the defensive line. Cain played a role in improving LSU's defense from the 70th ranked unit in 2021 to the 34th best in college football this past season. Also, he was a key contributor in the recruitment of 5-star and 4-star edge rushers Dashawn Womack and Jaxon Howard.
So how will LSU replace Cain's contributions on the football field and the recruiting trail? Is the perfect candidate to fill Cain's shoes already in Baton Rouge on the defensive coaching staff or will Brian Kelly and Matt House bring in an outside candidate with the just the right resume?

LSU passed a tough test against PAC-12 regular season champions Utah Utes on Friday night in the Sweet Sixteen and dominated the Miami Hurricanes for a majority of their Elite Eight matchup Sunday night.
