The Tampa Bay Rays started the weekend in tremendous fashion, having Drew Rasmussen twirl a gem against the New York Yankees on Derek Jeter Night. However, the next two days did not see fireworks from the Rays but plenty from the Bronx Bombers as they took the series by blows. Corey Kluber did not make it out of the first inning on Saturday and Luis Patiño did not make it out of the second inning on Sunday. With the division largely out of play, it is the first wildcard spot that should be the aim for the rest of the season for the Rays.
