Jack Eichel, in his first playoff game was a disappointing -3 on the night. The Golden Knights had just 17 shots on goal, the fewest of the entire season. Mark Stone in his first appearance in 40 games played 23 shifts over 21:28 TOI. The Jets Morgan Barron took 75 stiches above his eye after being cut by Laurent Brossoit's skate during a mad first period scramble in front of the VGK net. Barron returned wearing a shield in the 2nd period. The Golden Knights need to make a lot of adjustments in Thursday's Game 2 at the Fortress. VGK needs to play with more intensity for starters. The Golden Knights power play unit also needs to wake up. The VGK power play is now 2 for its last 22 attempts over eight games.
