Description
In today’s episode, Emily shares some updates, Evolve Retreat announcements, and also talks about her recent trip to Louisiana where she attended an event called Guns and Gi’s. It was a 3 day course focusing on the fundamentals of tactical firearms and Ju Jitsu. People from all walks of life attended this event, as well as beginners to advanced level in Ju Jitsu and it was such a diverse group of people. Emily talks about feeling a bit like a beginner and how it was such a welcoming environment for everyone there who felt the same way. She shares how it was such an amazing place for personal development and how everyone there made huge strides throughout the weekend and it was very motivating for her to watch. In order to evolve it is extremely important to get outside your comfort zone and learn new things. Doing things like this are necessary because you not only learn new things and get better at something but you meet new people and get into community. It can be easy to stay in your zone and not want to be the beginner at something. Emily encourages you to put yourself out there and don’t let one bad experience stop you from continuing to do something.
