Description
We often talk about triggers, don’t we? The tiny stabs that strike at the heart of a regret or a fear or a grief or a resentment. Sometimes we can pivot from merry to murderous in a nano-second and we are left angry and or sad but unable to identify the trigger that sent us there. It is, we think, why so many of us feel so irritable so much of the time. We stumbled, the other day, on the concept of glimmers. And even the idea of glimmers is gently soul-warming. Glimmers are the exact opposite of triggers. They are tiny moments of joy that spark an inner-calm. Micro-moments that – instead of sending us downwards or sideways – send us upwards. Perk us up. Pick us up. So on the pod we talk about embracing the glimmers. Aah. But DON’T WORRY it’s not all positivity. Who else falls into tiny episodes of hate? The kind of hate that harms no one: we talk about hate liking on Instagram, hate reading and hate watching….and we introduce the concept of emotional geometry: the regretangle or the oblonging…Welcome to Depressometry.
