Marc Schroeder (https://www.linkedin.com/in/marcstevenschroeder/) is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at MGV | Maschmeyer Group Ventures where he focuses on working with world- class entrepreneurs in technology. Marc's main focus is the founding team, and as a result, does not have strict requirements for traction, revenue, or industry. Earlier in his career, Marc founded a successful HR and staffing company that operated throughout Germany. He then became the Head of Global Sales at the Maschmeyer Group, and most recently was Investor at seed + speed Ventures. Marc is a member of Kauffman Fellows and Co-Chair of the Bay Area Chapter. He is also Co-founder of the InsurTech Symposium, an exclusive invite-only event which brings together industry leaders from all over the world to discuss the huge changes taking place in the insurance industry. Marc is originally from the Netherlands, grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and graduated with a law degree from Bertolt-Brecht University. He constantly travels between MGV office locations in San Francisco and Munich, Germany. In his free time he enjoys running, rugby, skiing, lifting weights, reading, traveling, and especially spending time with his family.
