Today’s Jargon is Boundary Markers!  Boundary Markers are the little things we do to let others know we are tuned in to what they are saying.  Sometimes we nod our heads, other times we inject words or exclamations, "No way!"
or, "Wow!"  These little signals when they are given and received help speakers know if they need to change their conversation style!
