On today's episode of All in the Industry, host Shari Bayer is joined by David Rabin, a partner at The Lambs Club, Cafe Clover, The Skylark, and JIMMY at the James in NYC, plus projects in Las Vegas, including The Dorsey at The Venetian and Rosina. Having been in the restaurant/nightlife industry for over 20 years, David was a partner in the nightclub and restaurant Lotus, which helped pioneer the development of The Meatpacking District. He also co-founded The Double Seven and was an original owner of Union Bar. He served as President of the NY Nightlife Association for 9 years (now NYCHA) and was the Founder/President (6 years) of the Meatpacking District Initiative (now MPIA). Hear how this nightlife OG got his start in the industry and remained top of his game. Shari also takes us to South Beach Wine & Food Festival, the 17th annual event which took place February 21-25 in Miami, with a special "On the Road " segment. Since 2012 he has been the Executive Director of the New York City Hospitality Alliance, the premier organization representing all facets of this diverse industry: restaurants, bars, lounges, destination hotels and major industry suppliers. In addition to his executive duties, he serves on multiple committees relating to hospitality, he is a vocal industry advocate and recognized commentator for local, national and international media inquiries relating to New York Citys hospitality industry.
