Description

Michelle Owen is joined by Caoimhe O’Neill and Chloe Morgan to reflect on the eighth day of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

Nigeria shocked Australia by coming from behind to win 3-2 and blow Group B wide open.

The first game of the day saw the USA and The Netherlands draw 1-1 in Wellington /Te Whanganui-a-Tara in Group E.

The Athletic’s Meg Linehan shared her thoughts after the match.

Portugal scored their first ever goals in a Women’s World Cup with a 2-0 win over Vietnam.

This result knocked Vietnam out and means that if Portugal beat the USA, they are through.

England play Denmark tomorrow. We look forward to that match and The Athletic’s Jacob Whitehead brought us the latest news from The Lionesses.
