Description
Hello again. Great to have you back in The Bishop and Bear. Or, if it’s your first time, a very warm welcome.
Joining us today on the Barstool of Bravado, is our very own David ‘Babbling’ Brook. A man who has been setting alight Division 6 of the Oxford and Cherwell Cricket league with his deceptively effective outswingers, he swings into action here to help us chew over all manner of cricket related matters.
And speaking of chewing, the Bear gets a bit side tracked to sing the praises of his mouth watering pulled beef brisket. If you happen to fancy good bit of meat pulled and prepared Bear style, then this is his recipe.
From our menu today, we tuck in to a whole range of topics including:
· The first T20I Vs New Zealand – What have we learned?
· And why are we playing so many T20’s ahead of a 50 over World Cup?
· Will there be Brook on Brook action for the World Cup?
· The Hundred – Winning fans but losing money? (Mrs B very upset they bumped Richard Osman’s House of Games for a month of it on BBC2)
· Asia Cup – All eyes on Pallekele on Saturday and it seems to be the best 50 over prep of any of the World Cup teams?
· How playing regularly improves your cricket – David’s guide to enhanced middle aged performance
Grab yourself a drink at the bar and settle in to enjoy the chat.
Don’t forget, if you haven’t yet got yourself some Ponting wine, our special offer will stay open just a little longer. You can get that 15% discount right here using the special gcashes2023 code.
Cheers!
