The New York Yankees won a series in Pittsburgh, thanks to the rookies. We discuss Oswald Peraza, Estevan Florial, and Anthony Volpe’s latest performances, plus Oswaldo Cabrera and Jhony Brito’s contributions and how they all are making us look forward to 2024. We recap the weekend, which included wins on Friday and Saturday. Carlos Rodón had his longest outing of 2023 on Sunday (6.2 IP, 103 pitches) but picked up the loss as he gave up the third and decisive run. But there were encouraging things about his outing, and we discussed them. Then it’s Minors Monday, and the Hudson Valley Renegades and Somerset Patriots are in the playoffs! Hudson Valley already won the division series two games to one against Jersey Shore but are down in their SAL Championship series against Greenville. Somerset begins their series against Binghamton on Tuesday. Yankees vs. Mets. Fun! And it wouldn’t be Minors Monday without a shoutout for a good performance, and this week, it was RHP Clayton Beeter. Then Stacey and Steve talk about the MLB playoff picture, and Steve has some advice for the Yankee fans who aren’t used to sitting out in October.
