In this week’s episode of The Gaining Health Podcast, host Karli Burridge continues the conversation around obesity education in medical schools, PA schools, and NP schools, as she interviews one of the world’s top leaders in obesity medicine and obesity education, Dr. Scott Butsch. Dr. Butsch is the Director of Obesity Medicine at the Bariatric and Metabolic Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He is a board certified and fellowship trained physician in obesity medicine and clinical nutrition with expertise in the management and treatment of complex patients with obesity.  Dr. Butsch is an international leader in obesity and nutrition education and has been instrumental in the development and design of competencies and curriculum in obesity for undergraduate medical education and for all inter-professional education. He is the creator and Program Director of the Obesity Medicine Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, the creator and Director of Obesity Medicine Preceptorship at Cleveland Clinic, as well as the creator and Director of the APP fellowship in Obesity Medicine at Cleveland Clinic.
