BUSINESS INTERVIEW: How To Win The Now Eric Recker is our guest today on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots Podcast. This is one of those stories that so many of us find ourselves living until a change is forced on us to reassess, pivot and finally start walking the path waiting for us. Eric spent the first half of his life doing what he thought he had to do. Putting his nose down and enduring the grind. But it was never quite enough he wanted more. Through experiences with triathlon, mountain climbing, owning a dental practice with a team of 20, becoming a pilot, and extensive travel, he learned that what he was searching for wasn’t at the top of the mountain. How The Dots Joined Up For Eric Through the COVID-forced closure of Dr. Eric Recker’s dental practice in spring of 2020, he realized he had not been living in the present in his own life. He kept climbing mountains (literally and figuratively) to try to find meaning at the “mountain top,” but then realized what he was searching for wasn’t “out there.” After an extensive time of quiet and reflection, the concept came to Eric. This concept helps people to overcome the “epidemic of distraction” that seems to be impacting us all. Now in the second half of his life, he is committed to helping people learn to live present in their own lives and find a life of fulfilment, not just accomplishment. Through his coaching, speaking, and writing, he is working to help as many people as possible learn to #WINtheNOW.
