Our guest today, Lindsey Fitzsimons graduated with an MS in Clinical Excercise Physiology and is currently working on her PhD in Biomedical science at the University of Maine. She is also an instructor for first-year medical students at the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine. She became a mom in 2017 and went into labor during her PhD qualifying exam. Her story is filled with transitions and how she overcame struggles of being a mother in academia.
