It was a huge recruiting weekend for Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers as they hosted some of the top in-state talent in Tiger Stadium for LSU's SEC West showdown with the Auburn Tigers. A packed Saturday Night in Death Valley was an instant success for the visiting recruits as Kelly's squad landed two commitments within 24 hours after the game, one in the 2024 and one in 2025 class, with several other high-profile recruits expected to make their commitments within the next few months and even weeks.
First, LSU adds to it's edge rushing group in the 2024 class with 4-star edge rusher CJ Jackson from Georgia. He is a top-25 recruit in that talent rich state and shows a lot of potential with his 6-foot-5, 225 pound frame. Plus, LSU landed a 2025 to bolster up the wide receiver core with Edna Karr four-star TaRon Francis. He is the tenth ranked player in the state of Louisiana in that recruiting class. As LSU adds depth, they also lose a commitment in the 2024 class with four-star WR Joseph Stone decommitting mere days after the announcements of Jackson and Francis.
