The orchestra’s conductor, Philip Shorey, composed the music played by the group. Through this fresh score, the film is reinterpreted with Shorey’s use of classic orchestral instrumentation, industrial percussion, electronica, and a full choir. Philip Shorey Bio Curse of the VampirePhilip Shorey, a graduate of The Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis, has worked in the Twin Cities area as a composer for theatre and film since 2003. He has operated as an activist towards the healing of the human heart and strives to work his compositions for this seminal purpose. He is the composer and conductor of the Curse of the Vampire Orchestra, and features theatrical statements for orchestral, choir, electronica, and industrial percussion, set to the classic silent films—Nosferatu (1922) & The Kid (1921).  Philip has traveled the world extensively while performing his toy marionette theatre, The Suitcase Sideshow.  He has performed in orphanages, refugee camps, prisons, sidewalks, and other unconventional venues—where he has learned a wide understanding of art, culture, and the human condition, which has been a significant influence on his music.
