Episode 0 - Intro: Chiptune, for those unaware, is music made on retro video game hardware. For a period of time, it was thought of as the new punk, fusing retro technologies with a DIY approach and anti-consumerist framework to create a scene that felt like it would change music. I used to make it, but now I don't. Now I'm making a podcast about why. I'd like to tell you how and why this podcast came to be, and I thought that the best way to do so would be to talk about my own history in the scene. Here's a bit of a monologue about where I'm coming from - hopefully that'll help us figure out where we're going. by What Happened to Chiptune?
