LSU had one of the worst pass defenses in college football and cost LSU games against the Florida State Seminoles, Ole Miss Rebels, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Defensive coordinator Matt House's future is in question, and while the entire defensive coaching staff should be held accountable, LSU also needs to address the personnel in addition to the coaching staff. LSU brought in four transfer portal cornerbacks and all four, for various reasons, were unavailable at some point this season which exposed the lack of depth at that position group. Brian Kelly and his coaching staff need to address this roster hole in the transfer portal going into the 2024 college football season.
