The New York Yankees have traded for outfielder Juan Soto! The deal is official, and along with Soto, the Yankees acquired outfielder Trent Grisham. In return, the Yankees sent pitchers Michael King, Drew Thorpe, Jhony Brito, Randy Vasquez, and catcher Kyle Higashioka to the Padres. Stacey and Steve talk about the trade and the pieces, give their initial thoughts on the news, and are joined by Javi Reyes of Locked On Padres, who discusses his thoughts about what the Padres got in the deal. This is not the only move the Yankees are making. Their pitching is now decimated, and they’ll have to replenish it before the 2024 season starts, but getting Juan Soto was on Yankee fans’ radar for a while, and it happened.
