James Franklin and the Penn State Nittany Lions have a new offensive coordinator in place. Andy Kotelnicki comes from Kansas and likes to run multiple formations that feature a lot of pre-snap motion. He will just watch and learn as the Nittany Lions prepare for Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl. Following that Kotelnicki will hit the ground running and start preparing for spring football. We will look into whether Penn State football has the personnel to run his offense. We will also take an early look at Penn State's plans for the transfer portal. Also, the Nittany Lions will be without Chop Robinson for the Peach Bowl on defense as he is opting out to get ready for the NFL Draft. 
Kudos to Iowa Hawkeyes defensive coordinator Phil Parker for winning the Broyles Award, given to college football's top assistant coach each year. The Hawkeyes defense had the 4th best scoring defense in the country and directly led the Hawkeyes to a 10 win season and an appearance in the Big 10 Championship game. 
We check in on Jonathan Smith and his progress as the newly hired football coach at Michigan State. Plus we wonder what is going on with Tom Izzo and the Spartans basketball team which is off to a slow start.
