Join us as Tia Hanson shares the uplifting story of her son Trevor, a young man with autism who founded 'Trev's Trade Soaps'. This episode celebrates creativity, determination, and the incredible potential within the autism community. A heartwarming tale of success, one soap bar at a time.Guest Expert:Tia Hanson - Trevor's MomTrevor Dealy is a young man with a compassionate nature who has ventured into the artisanal soap-making business. At 21 years old, Trevor, who has autism, is developmentally younger than his age suggests. He has faced a range of medical challenges since birth, being a micro-preemie born at just 26 weeks and weighing only 1 pound 7 ounces. Despite these hurdles, Trevor has shown incredible resilience and determination, now successfully running a home-based operation producing beautiful, small-batch soaps.Tia Hanson, Trevor's mother, is an extraordinary figure in her own right. She holds a degree in early childhood development and has over 12 years of experience in teaching and developing educational programs. After Trevor's birth, Tia devoted herself entirely to addressing his complex disabilities and medical needs. She has been a tireless advocate, challenging systems that were ill-prepared to support and educate her son. Her advocacy journey led her back to school with the Council of Parents Attorneys and Advocates, a nationally certified advocacy program. Tia now works as an educational advocate in a law firm, leveraging her personal experiences with Trevor to help other people with disabilities and their families.Learn more about Trev's Trades: https://www.trevstrades.com/Like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/trevstradesHosted by Rob Gorski:Rob Gorski, a devoted single father to three incredible autistic sons, is the Founder and CEO of The Autism Dad, LLC.
