To the east of it we have a developing low east of the Carolinas that may develop into a tropical depression or a tropical storm however it is forecast to turn northeast and head offshore. This sets up a nice weekend for the last weekend of the summer season. Severe weather in the Northern Plains, quiet in the west. Rain continues across parts of the Deep South.
