Brianne Davis: I'm a Recovering Sex and Love Addict: I was a shell of a person when I walked into my first Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous meeting. As I listened to people share about this thing called sex and love addiction. Tears started to form in my eyes when I said I was a newcomer. I was crying not out of sadness, but an overwhelming feeling of hope. For the first time in my life, I didn't feel alone or broken. We have a saying in the rooms; "No one can meet our deepest needs, no matter how hard we try." And believe me, I tried. Let's just say, I was the worst person you might have ever met before I got sober. I was a liar, a cheat, and a thief. I used men as my drug of choice. I wanted to have power and control over anyone and anything because I felt so powerless inside. I had this dark hole I was always trying to fill with outside things. And I could not stop even when I desperately wanted to. Every day I see people at the lowest of lows. They are clawing their way out from und by Secret Life
