Description

Join us for a sacrilegious romp through the divine absurdities of Isaiah Chapter 65, where God seems to be suffering from a celestial identity crisis and questionable management skills. We'll dissect the Almighty's penchant for petty retributions and his odd obsession with a select piece of Middle Eastern real estate. As atheists, we find it hard to keep a straight face while discussing a deity who punishes future generations for past sins, introduces a diet plan no one asked for, and promises a utopian do-over that feels more like a celestial MLM pitch than a divine plan. Get ready to laugh, facepalm, and maybe learn a thing or two about ancient superstitions that somehow still make it into modern-day sermons. Spoiler alert: We think it's all a bunch of hogwash, but hey, at least the pork is divine!Join us on DISCORD: https://discord.gg/8RwwMrb5zKSkip the ads by joining Acast+ https://plus.acast.com/s/6331d364470c7900137bb57dThank you for stopping by Sacrilegious Discourse - Bible Study for Atheists!Check out these links for more information about our podcast and merchandise:Our Homepage: https://sacrilegiousdiscourse.com/ Join Acast+ to enjoy our podcast adfree! https://plus.acast.com/s/sacrilegiousiscourse.

Husband and Wife are two non-believers who have always wanted to read the Bible. Why would we subject ourselves to this you might ask? From our perspective it helps us understand where the Christians around us, here in the Midwest, are coming from when they quote the Bible at us. Husband is basically an Atheist and wife leans Agnostic but mostly Atheist and we're just having some fun at the Bible's expense while learning more about what our neighbors claim we're going to hell over.
