Omar Farías, VMD (he/him) is was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania. For 11 years, he worked in small animal practice, first as an associate and later as a practice owner. While in practice, he dedicated part of his time helping several local animal welfare organizations. In 2011, He joined Hills Pet Nutrition as a professional consulting veterinarian and moved his family to New York City. In his progression at Hill's, Dr Farías has held positions of increasing responsibility and currently serves as a senior manager of scientific and academic affairs for Hill's Pet Nutrition. Farías serves as board member for Pride Veterinary Medical Community as president elect and as board member for the Mark Morris Institute. He lives in Kansas City, Missouri with his husband Paul, his Chihuahua La Chispa and his cat Desilu.
