Description
So... Thursday was a bit of a bummer. The news broke mid-day that LeBron James would be at least a week thanks to an abdominal strain suffered Tuesday against Houston. Anthony Davis sprained his thumb in the first half against Oklahoma City, and while he finished the game he declared himself questionable for Saturday in Portland. Oh, and the Lakers lost to the Thunder. Again. But other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy your Thursday? So lots to unpack on Friday's episode. It starts with another loss to OKC. So what went wrong this time? It wasn't because the Lakers, who built a 19-point lead Thursday and gave that one up (like the 26-point advantage they had last week in Oklahoma), stopped playing hard. So does that make it better or worse? What can be accomplished while LeBron is on the sidelines? What if Davis joins him? Can they start to patch things up while so many important members of the rotation float in and out of the lineup? And what does it mean for the Lakers that James has to be treated so carefully now? Finally, Mike Richman, host of Locked On Blazers, joins the show to preview Saturday's game in Portland. What's ailing the Blazers and Damian Lillard? Do the Lakers get a break, catching them at a down time? And how surprised is Richman at the success Carmelo Anthony is having thus far? (Note: We talked to Mike before the Lakers coughed up a second game to OKC...)HOSTS: Andy and Brian KamenetzkySEGMENT 1: So what the hell happened on Thursday night? TWO losses to the Thunder in a week? Really?SEGMENT 2: Life without LeBron. Can the Lakers survive, and more importantly, what can they accomplish while he's out? What does it mean for the Lakers that he is clearly not invincible, physically, anymore?SEGMENT 3: Mike Richman talks Portland, previews Saturday's game.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!ShopifyGo to Shopify.com/lockedonnba for a FREE fourteen-day trial and get full access to Shopify’s entire suite of features.Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
