Browns rookie Alex Wright has learned a lot from two of his pass rushing idols this year in teammates Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney. That remains true even now, as Clowney appears to be on his way out in Cleveland. The rookie has played a significant number of snaps for Cleveland from the jump. He’s played 494 total defensive snaps -- ironically, exactly the same number as Clowney -- and has appeared in all 16 games for the Browns. He’s proved to be an effective weapon on the line when it comes to using his 6-foot-5 frame to bat down balls, something he never got a chance to do in college. He’s got a team-high five this season, which also ties him for third-most among all NFL edge rushers. That’s been the highlight of his game, while rushing opposing quarterbacks has been a tough adjustment compared to the college level. He has no sacks this year, and only 10 pressures -- all QB hurries. Understandably, improving in that aspect of his game is the No. 1 task on his offseason checklist.Perrion Winfrey quietly may have shown glimpses of what he can be in the future for the Cleveland Browns during his rookie year. Now that the season is over, All-Rookie teams are here. Winfrey was named first-team defense on the All-Rookie team put together by SportsInfoSolutions. Winfrey missed four games as a rookie and had a rough acclimation period at times at becoming a professional. Playing in 41 percent of the defensive snaps, Winfrey made 22 tackles, one tackle for a loss, and a half sack. The Browns have a lot of questions at defensive tackle with not a lot of answers.
