Coach Brickey, like many coaches wanted to stay involved in the game of basketball once their playing career was over, so coaching was the next step. Coming off of an outstanding basketball career which included being named "Mr. Basketball" in the State of North Carolina, to three final four appearances playing for Duke University, Coach Brickey took his playing experience into the coaching world.
