Former Hartford Police Officer, Jill Kidik, opens up about her traumatic experience, recounting the harrowing day she responded to what seemed like a routine disturbance call in downtown Hartford, Connecticut on May 17, 2018. What should have been a standard call for service took a shocking and violent turn. Police Stabbed Throat Throat Was Slit, Police Officer Survived.
In the line of duty, Officer Kidik found herself under a sudden and unexpected assault by a resident of the apartment complex. She endured a terrifying and brutal attack, during which she was knocked unconscious and repeatedly stabbed, with the most critical wounds inflicted upon her neck and torso. Her life hung in the balance.
Two heroic maintenance workers, fully aware of the imminent danger, rushed to her aid and demonstrated unwavering courage as they fought off the assailant, putting their lives on the line. Their selfless actions saved Officer Kidik from a more tragic fate. Police Stabbed Throat Throat Was Slit, Police Officer Survived.
The incident reverberated through the ranks of the Hartford Police Department, prompting a swift response from fellow officers who raced to the scene. With the help of emergency response personnel, Officer Kidik was transported to Hartford Hospital in the nick of time. Police Stabbed Throat Throat Was Slit, Police Officer Survived.
